The App Showcase: 92 real apps, captured live — and 12 premium flagships
A widget gallery tells you what the parts look like. The new App showcase shows the machines: 92 complete, runnable applications built with Custom Widgets, every screenshot captured from the app itself — not a mockup.
What's in it
Dashboards for finance, crypto, cash flow, smart-home control and e-commerce analytics. A three-pane chat client with voice messages and reactions. A music player with a cover-flow hero. A node-graph creative studio with a code editor and timeline. Operations consoles, agenda boards, starters — and roughly seventy single-widget demos, each the shortest runnable answer to "how do I wire this up".
Every card lists the widgets the app actually uses (detected from its real imports, so the list can't lie), and every screenshot clicks to full size.
Free apps, and supporter flagships
The single-widget demos, the starters, and teaching apps like GlassHome stay free in the repo — they are documentation. The twelve flagship applications (marked PATREON on the showcase) ship their full source to supporters: six dashboards, AuroraChat, two operations decks, the jobs table, NodeStudio and RhythmoTune. Each is a production-shaped codebase — Designer forms, compiled sources, themed stylesheets, managers and workers — meant to be the starting point for your own app.

How to get them
Support the project on Patreon or grab a plan at customwidgets.org/pricing — supporters get the premium example apps alongside the Pro widget package (DataTable Pro's virtualization, grouping, pivot and export). Tutorials and walkthroughs land on YouTube.
Everything else — the 164-widget library, the 82 public examples, the whole documentation site — is free under GPLv3, and 2.3.0 is on PyPI now.
